My camera is my tool for curious self-expression. Through the lens, I explore new perspectives, make sense of my reality, and communicate how I perceive the world around me. I believe photography can contribute to knowledge and self-awareness—even without conforming to traditional standards of truth or absolute certainty. I discovered my passion lies in advocacy and fine art photography with a strong sense of fashion.
What interests me most is how others respond to my work, and the joy is in the act of creating itself.
Photography has been part of my life from an early age. My father, who kept a darkroom and carried his camera everywhere, introduced me to both the art and science of photography. I was captivated then—and I remain fascinated now—by the power of black-and-white photography to distill emotion, strip away distractions, and lend a timeless quality to each frame.
When asked about my philosophy, I return to this: the most inspiring images are those that reveal something essential about the subject. To capture an authentic moment—and to show someone a photograph of themselves that feels both true and powerful—is the most rewarding experience I know.
For many years, I worked in commercial photography. But as technology made image-making more accessible, and digital content saturated the world, I found myself drawn to something more profound. While the digital shift posed challenges, it also gave me a renewed sense of creative freedom with AI imaging software.
This change has given me the chance to step back from the pressure of client deadlines and expectations and focus more on what inspires me. I now make art that reflects my own vision instead of what I think will sell—pictures that come from curiosity, intention, emotion, and a responsibility I feel to promote important issues.
