(the)MAGAZINE
This editorial layout was developed for a subculture-focused publication, inspired by the bold, independent aesthetic of (the)MAGAZINE. The design explores dynamic typography, experimental composition, and expressive imagery to capture the raw energy and distinct voice of underground culture.
An intuitive grid system and deliberate visual hierarchy guide the reader through immersive storytelling while maintaining clarity and readability across spreads. The layout balances visual impact with structure, allowing content to feel both engaging and cohesive.
The final outcome is a visually compelling, print-ready publication that authentically reflects the magazine’s identity and strengthens its cultural narrative.

UR BOOKS: Gowntown
Contributed to the editorial design of a research publication focused on urban development in Upper Manhattan. My work focused on designing select spreads, translating complex planning data into clear visual narratives through maps, timelines, and infographics.
A structured grid system, consistent typography, and a restrained color palette organize dense information while maintaining readability across spreads. The design emphasizes clarity and hierarchy, allowing readers to navigate detailed content intuitively without losing engagement.
The final publication delivers a cohesive, print-ready book that effectively communicates research insights through thoughtful editorial design and data visualization.
