American Pavilion: The 12th International Architecture Exhibition
Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy- Exhibition Design
Contributed to the exhibition design for the American Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, centered on a speculative self-sufficient skyscraper operating within a steady-state urban system. The project explores how resources such as water, waste, and energy can be continuously recycled within a closed-loop architectural framework.
My work focused on translating complex sustainability systems into clear visual communication. The 3D model’s façade functioned as a physical data display, integrating information design and data visualization to illustrate how the building collects, generates, and reuses resources. Supporting circular foam-core graphic panels contextualize these systems within broader urban ecological cycles.
Through large-format graphics and spatial layout, the installation connects architectural form with data-driven storytelling, enabling visitors to understand the relationships between building systems and sustainable urban infrastructure.
